1 Field of application
The comparison of German and/or European and Chinese material s is based on the selected materials given in the Standards
Book， Part 1. It is intended for selecting comparable Chinese materials and their use instead of the materials specified on the
drawings.
Missing comparative materials will be supplemented in the new edition of the standard and c an be determined until then by
inquiry at the standards office.

3 Comparison of material designations
The German (European) materials listed (normatively) in Appendix A1 to A4 are compared with Chinese materials. The
comparative material is selected due to the degree of matchi ng of the chemical composition and the mechanical properties.
The degree of matching is indicated by valuation in three steps.

identical Both materials are identical with regard to their essential properties
similar Both materials are identical with regard to their essential properties; existing deviations must be checked
with regard to the usability， if necessary.
do not use The comparative material does not meet the properti es of the drawing material and should not be used.
