The failure of the evaporator made of copper in air conditioner used for one month was investigated by means of the optical microscope, SEM and microhardness testor. The result showed that the baffle burrs repeated impacting and rolling on the copper tube, resulting in the copper hardening and deformation collapsing, thus caused the copper tube failure and leakage. High hardness is also one of factors leading to the leakage failure of the evaporator tube.通过金相显微镜、扫描电镜和维氏显微硬度计等检测设备。对使用一个月即发生泄漏的某空调蒸发器铜管进行了检测和分析．结果表明：蒸发器工作时，折流板上的毛刺与铜管反复撞击敲打使铜管变形塌陷、铜管再加工硬化和穿孔开裂，是蒸发器铜管泄漏的外因；铜管自身硬度高形变性能下降,是蒸发器铜管泄漏的内因．
