Base is one of the large welding parts of diaphragm pump. Top-down design method is not only beneficial to 3D modeling, but also suitable for design modification and engineering drawing finishing. After the necessary pre- processing, the finite element model of base is imported in the ANSYS software to carry out the statics and modal analysis. By checking the strength and dynamic characteristic for adjusting the stiffness and mass distribution, resonance is avoided when the equipment is running.The method has a certain significance of overall analysis of the diaphragm pump fluid-end and the affection of the base to the foundation.
