Abstract：The paper introduces the design of new inversion power&free conveyor used for cabS sub.assembly line inthe assembly 3-line renovation project of the commercial vehicle assembly plant of Dongfeng Motor Company Limited，in-cluding scheme selection，design of tension driving device，design of power& free troley，along with route design andcalculation，etc.Through more than two years of application in the project，it shows that the new device is of excelenteffect and innovation in the same kind of products.The new design is provided with better flexible assembly，which can ap-ply to transportation and assembly of the complete vehicle，chassis，engine，gearbox，driving cab and other assemblies inrelated industries such as automobiles and tractors as the mature production line。
