The application type and optimization solving method about four bar mechanism were sum- marized. The mathematical model was built about four bar mechanism with several design elements. This paper discussed and solved the problem of multiobjective optimal calculation while designing four bar mechanism with linear weighting method and MATLAB software optimal toolbox. The correctness about the solved result was verificated by Pro/E software.分析了四杆机构的应用类型及优化求解方法，针对具有多个设计要素的四杆机构，建立数学模型；应用多目标优化设计的线性加权法，使用MATLAB优化工具箱，分析并解决了四杆机构设计过程中的多目标优化求解问题。通过Pro／E软件验证了该求解结果的正确性。
