The latest research progress of the effect of external magnetic field on the tribological prop- erties of friction pair are reviewed, and their regularities are summarized. Many researches prove that the antifriction and antiwear properties of friction pair are obviously improved by applying an appro-priate magnetic field during friction. This is a new way to control the tribological properties of friction parts by reasonably using this effect.文章系统介绍了外加磁场对摩擦副摩擦学性能影响的最新研究进展，总结了其规律性，研究表明，在摩擦环境中施加适当磁场，可以明显提高摩擦副的减摩性能、耐磨性能，合理运用该作用，可以获得调控摩擦部件摩擦学性能的新途径。
