The oil monitoring technology was applied to determine the running-in period of the new vehicles of SX4 lu- bricated by Kunlun SL 5W/30, a new energy conservation and environmental protection gasoline engine oil. The results show that the wear element analysis method for the monitoring technology can determine the running-in period of the vehi- cles,it is a simple and effective method to judge the running-in condition of vehicles.利用油液监测技术，对天语SX4新车使用的新型节能、环保SL5W／30汽油机油进行跟踪监测，确定天语SX4新车磨合周期。结果表明：油液监测技术中的磨损元素分析方法是判断车辆磨合状态的一种简捷、有效的监控手段。
