Efects of Pad Face Thermal Distortion on Thermal HydrodynamicLubrication Performance of Multi-tilting-pad Journal BearingYu Pu Wang Jiugen Hong Yufang(Department of Mechanical Engineering,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou Zhejiang 310027,China)Abstract:A thermal distortion model for multi-tilting-pad journal bearing was established,and the differences of lubri-cation performances of the multi--tilting·pad journal bearings were comparatively analyzed based on the thermal elastohydro-·dynamic lubrication(TEHD)model with only considering the elastic deformation and with considering the elastic deforma-tion and the therm al distortion of pad face simultaneously.The influences of therm al distortion of pad face on lubricationstate were analyzed.The numerical results indicate that the therm al distortion of pad face results in the increase of mini-mum film thickness and the decrease of pad face temperature,however a little change of the hydrodynamic pressure.Thecalculated results based on TEHD model with considering the therm al distortion of pad face was compared with the experi-mental data,the efectiveness of this calculation method was confirm ed。

Keywords:multi-tilting-pad;journal bearing;thermal distortion;thermal hydrodynamic lubrication多瓦可倾瓦轴承中润滑膜的承载能力、润滑剂的最小油膜厚度 、瓦面的最高温度、轴承的摩擦功耗等是衡量轴承润滑优劣的重要参数。对多瓦滑动轴承的润滑分析可以指导机组轴系的设计 ,目前常用流体动力润滑分析方法和弹流润滑分析方法。Oh等 第- 次提出了有限宽径向轴承的弹流润滑数值解,分析中假设润滑油为等黏度。他们认为 ,考虑弹性变形时轴承的润滑性能有显著不同。Kim等 分析了轴瓦弹性变形和热变形对径向轴承弹流润滑的影响 ,认为轴承的热变形和弹性变形、轴承间隙为同样数量级大小,因此弹流润滑分析中必须考虑热变形的影响。轴基金项 目:浙江省 自然科学基金重点项 目 (Z1100475);国家 自然科学基金项 目 (50775202)。
