Beijing Institute of Technology,Beijing 1 0008 1)Abstract:The Performance of double conical continuously variable transmission(CVT)and its efect factors are investigated byexperimental method.An experimental device of the CVT is designed and manufactured,a performance test bench of the CVT isestablished,and the perform ance experiment of the CVT is carried out.The experiment results show that when the transmission ratio,input speed and the pressure of the hydraulic cavity remain constant,the eficiency of CVT increases with the increasing of the inputtorque,finally reach the maximum,and decrease later;when the transmission ratio,input torque and the input speed remain constan t,the eficiency of CVT increases with the decreasing of the pressure of the hydraulic cavity,but the CVT cannot transmit the powerefectively with too low pressure of the hydraulic cavity ;When the transmission ratio,input torque and the pressure of the hydrauliccavity remain constant,the eficiency of CVT decreases with the increasing of the input speed;Wh en the input speed,input torqueand the pressure of the hydraulic cavity remain constant,the eficiency of CVT increases with the increasing of the transmissionratio。
